Washing Madness

Madness sets in like ash settling
Down as the smoldering coals die,
Or like the wretched smell of a rotten core
Left on the sidewalk to decay.

Just like a child waiting to be fed
The hungry grows with impatient sounds
Demanding more right now,
Straining and bleeding thoughts
Of warm water flowing over worn
Bodies.

Washing away the past events
Its all a part of just
Starting new.
